In short

SmartWebExport publishes your SketchUp models as web links that you share with whoever you choose. To do that, we store your email address and the models you export.

We sell no data, we display no advertising, and we set no trackers on the people you send a link to.

1. Who is responsible for this data

Atelier Créateur, SASU, France, 93376681800019, referred to below as “we”.

Contact for any question about your data: support@lab-atelier.com

2. What we keep, and why

Your account

DataWhy
Email addressTo identify you and send you service messages
PasswordStored as a one-way hash. We cannot read it, nor remind you of it — only let you reset it
Interface languageTo show the extension in your language
Subscription planTo apply the limits of your plan
Payment provider customer IDTo link your subscription to your account

Your models

The exported 3D file, its original filename, the name and tags you give it, your display settings (background, edges, hideable tags, measurement, augmented reality) and the link's expiry date.

These are necessary for the service: without them there is no link to share.

Your branding, on paid plans

The logo you upload and your website address, so they appear on the viewer page in place of ours.

Traffic on your links

For each link, a view counter and the date it was last viewed. These are aggregate numbers: they say nothing about who opened the link.

Security

To limit repeated sign-up and sign-in attempts, we count requests by origin. That origin is never stored in the clear — neither your IP address nor your email address. Only a salted hash is written, which we cannot reverse, and a daily task deletes any counter older than one hour.

An open session is represented by a random token, valid for ninety days.

What stays on your computer, and never leaves it

Three things are written on your machine and are never sent to us:

DataWhereWhy
Your session tokenSketchUp preferences and the window's local storageSo you don't have to sign in every time
Email addresses already enteredThe window's local storageTo complete the sign-in field. No password is kept there
A diagnostic logYour system's temporary folder, file swe_trace.logTo understand a failed export. It contains the path of the exported file and figures about its contents. It is overwritten at every export and goes nowhere

You can remove them at any time: signing out clears the token and the address history, and the log can be deleted like any other temporary file.

3. The people you share a link with

This is the point on which we are strictest.

When someone opens a link you sent:

  • no cookie is set;
  • no tracker and no third-party analytics tool is loaded;
  • their IP address is neither recorded nor passed on;
  • nothing allows them to be recognised from one visit to the next.

The only trace is the increment of that link's view counter, which is there for you.

The 3D model itself and, where applicable, your logo, are served from our host. Your visitor therefore downloads those files, like any image on a web page.

4. Who else sees this data

We use three providers, and no others:

ProviderRoleWhat it handles
CloudflareHosting, database, file storageAll of the data above
StripeSubscription paymentsYour billing details. We never see your card number: it is entered on Stripe's side
ResendSending emailsYour address and the content of the message sent

These providers are established in the United States. Transfers of data outside the European Union are governed by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

We do not sell, rent or exchange any data. No data is passed on for advertising purposes.

5. How long we keep it

DataRetention
Models, free planPublished for 7 days, kept 14 days in total, then deleted — file and record alike
Models, paid plansKept until the link expires, then held 7 days before final deletion
Models with no expiry dateKept for as long as the account exists
Sign-in session90 days
Anti-abuse counters (hashes, no addresses)25 hours at most
AccountUntil you delete it

Deleting a model erases both the 3D file and the record that accompanies it. A deleted link stops working immediately for the people you sent it to.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to object to its processing.

You can delete your account yourself, from the extension, under Account settings. Doing so erases the account, all your models and all associated files. It is immediate and irreversible: the links you had shared stop working.

For any other request: support@lab-atelier.com. We reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) in France.

7. Legal bases

  • Performance of the contract: account, models, settings, billing. Without this data the service cannot work.
  • Legitimate interest: limiting abuse, and view statistics for your own links.
  • Legal obligation: retention of billing records, for 10 years.

8. Changes

We may revise this text. The date at the top shows the last revision. A substantial change will be notified to you by email.
